NEED KITCHEN INSPIRATION? THESE CASE STUDIES WILL HELP

When deciding on the design, layout and general feel of your kitchen, it can feel like a bit of a minefield. But with some Steelplan Kitchens’ inspiration, the perfect kitchen could be closer than you think…

Dursley Tabernacle URC

Failing to meet current health and safety standards, the church’s 70-year-old kitchen was in desperate need of updating. Plus, with plans to run events such as wedding receptions and local community cookery classes, the committee wanted something professional, hard-wearing and a place suitable for outside caterers. The result? A complete kitchen renovation with a new central island, and an aesthetically-pleasing look that bridges the gap between a domestic and commercial space.

Salvation Army Harpenden

Chasing the idea of creating a safe, sturdy space that felt warm and welcoming, the team at The Salvation Army wanted to run a community café suitable for serving over 100 meals at Christmas. And with Steelplan’s semi-commercial design, they achieved just that. Now, the kitchen is fit for purpose – it’s functional, practical and robust while also creating the feel of a domestic space – and the community at the church couldn’t be happier with the result.

Kitchen project in Woking

With a tired and old domestic kitchen, the daily life of this church in Woking was becoming a challenge. And while an extension allowed for more space, the committee were after a kitchen that could provide everything their local community needed. But with an integrated commercial dishwasher, a service window and durable polyester powder-coated mild steel cabinets, the new kitchen is not only pleasing to the eye but also offers no end of possibilities for the church’s offering.
