The Hale Community Centre is at the heart of the Upper Hale local area. Fondly known as ‘the bungalow’, it has been the place for members of the community to learn new skills, meet new friends and feel like a part of something bigger than themselves.

A demand for space has always been a sticking point to the Centre, after many rebuilds, extensions, and remodelings, it has reached the ideal size to meet the demand – not just to locals – but the surrounding areas too.

This demand, however, has meant that the communal kitchens had seen better days. With numerous groups of all ages in need of a space to prepare and serve food and drink, they turned to Steelplan to design and install a new kitchen in the Youth Centre.

Like many others, they turned to big box stores to supply them with a cheap residential kitchen that served its purpose for little money. However, the costs of repairs and replacements further down the line caught up with them.

So, when they opted for a semi-commercial kitchen from Steelplan, they were thrilled by the colours on offer and the longevity. As you can see from the photographs, a mixture of mint green and cream suits them very well.

Accompanied by an easy-to-maintain steel worktop and compatible appliances, their latest investment looks sleek – and will continue to look as good as new for years to come.
